Mr. Ryan Rodgers
Biography
Mr. Ryan Rodgers brings more than a decade of global teaching experience to Stuttgart High School, including seven years with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to instructional leadership, student-centered initiatives, and supporting the unique needs of military-connected students and families.
Mr. Rodgers began his teaching career in 2014 in Covington, Louisiana, before joining DoDEA in 2018 as a middle and high school English and history teacher at Daegu Middle High School in South Korea. He later served at Ankara Elementary High School in Turkey and most recently at Quantico Middle High School in Virginia. In each of these assignments, Mr. Rodgers has taken on a variety of leadership roles and committee work, including school improvement teams, student support initiatives, extracurricular programs, and instructional coaching.
He contributed to the rollout of Project-Based Learning (PBL) across the Pacific West District and earned recognition for building a positive school culture through student-led clubs, school stores, athletic programs, and leadership opportunities that fostered student ownership, pride, and engagement across the school community. Mr. Rodgers has been nominated multiple times for DoDEA Teacher of the Year and was a finalist for the Dr. Linda Curtis Educator of Promise Award in 2019.
Mr. Rodgers holds an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Instruction from Northwestern State University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from William Carey University, and dual bachelor’s degrees in English and History from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, Mr. Rodgers is proud to join and serve the Stuttgart community. He is excited to support a school culture built on excellence, growth, and opportunity for all students.
