Dr. Seth Stillman named Principal of Stuttgart High School
SEMBACH, Germany — Mr. Patrick Martin, superintendent for the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe East District, announced the selection of Dr. Seth Stillman as the new principal of Stuttgart High School.
Dr. Stillman brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student-centered leadership to his new role. He most recently served as principal of SHAPE Elementary School in Mons, Belgium. Prior to that, he was the assistant principal at Spangdahlem High School, where he played a key role in opening the first 21st Century school in the Europe West District. Across all leadership roles, he has emphasized community partnerships, collaboration and shared leadership while maintaining an unwavering focus on student success.
Before entering administration, Stillman worked at Spangdahlem Elementary School as a Learning Impaired Teacher and began his DoDEA career at Albritton Middle School at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, supporting students with emotional disabilities. While at Albritton, he also served on the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team and coached boys’ basketball. His stateside experience includes serving as a resource teacher at an alternative school for grades 3–12, where he took on roles such as assessment coordinator, ACT and AP coordinator and PBIS team member. He has also served as an instructional team leader and contributed to schoolwide initiatives in professional growth, student goal setting and school-based decision making.
“I am so pleased that Dr. Stillman is returning to a DoDEA High School where he will be a passionate leader ready to work with the amazing faculty and hard-charging community here in Stuttgart,” Martin said. “His focus on supporting all aspects of student success will be a tremendous asset to the Panthers.”
Stillman holds a bachelor’s degree from Boyce College, where he also played two years of college basketball. He earned dual master’s degrees in Learning and Behavior Disorders and School Improvement from Campbellsville University, followed by a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He later completed his Instructional Leadership Principal Program at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Stillman, his wife and their six children are active on athletic fields and enjoy friendly family competition. They are excited to join the Stuttgart community and look forward to contributing to the school’s strong tradition of excellence.
